Requirements

In order to become a Dental Hygienist, you must be a graduate of a program that is accredited the ADA’s Commission on Dental Accreditation and by the Arkansas State Board of Dental Examiners. You must also successfully take the National Board Examination for Dental Hygiene, the clinical dental hygiene exam administered by Southern Regional Testing Agency (SRTA), and the Arkansas Jurisprudence Examination. You will also need to hold a current Healthcare Provider level cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) certification.
